Maß ohne Rahmen 25,5 x 19,5 cm Maß mit Rahmen 40 x 32 cm.

Diese bewusst offen bleibende, möglicherweise historisierende oder stilisierte Trachtenauffassung verleiht dem Porträt einen besonderen, beinahe inszenierten Charakter. Jahrhunderts, stilistisch zwischen spätem Realismus und einem bereits gelockerten, impressionistisch beeinflussten Malduktus angesiedelt.

Original oil painting by Oliver Stockman, in 1900. Framed and signed. The painting itself is in good condition, with some waves in the canvas. I do not know if this painting is a candidate for restretching. I was pleased with the condition for its age so I decided not to mess with it.

An antique painting from 1900. Lithograph, under glass. Made in Europe. Dimensions: 35 cm x 36 cm + frame on both sides 3 cm; with frame 41 cm x 42 cm. A very interesting subject: a beautiful girl in a crinoline dress sits on a sofa with cats. On the floor is a beautiful rug. This painting will beautifully decorate a bedroom, studio, or nursery. The frame has not been replaced and is in good condition. Some photographs are matte, as photographing a painting under glass is very difficult.

The reverse gold-painted side features handwritten family history and shows age-appropriate surface rust and paint loss. Good antique condition given its age. “Mama hated this tin-type” gives this quite the story!

Wonderful ink and watercolor painting of a man bundled up, evidently very cold, playing cards, on paper. Even his beer is steaming. Probably English. Great little piece.
