Beautiful Vintage Original Signed Watercolor by Grace Thompson Asian Landscape?
The picture itself has no issues and if you look close, you can see that it was first drawn in pencil and then used to watercolor and possibly gouache for the painting on watercolor board. I show the thickness of the board also.
Abstract Expressionist Watercolor 8-1/2 x 11″
This watercolor, done by an unknown artist who signs just “Simon”, is quite an extraordinary piece. I can only describe the style as ‘abstract impressionist’, because it doesn’t neatly fit anywhere else.
Original Portrait Man in Turban Headwrap Signed ‘Toni’ Mixed Media 24×18″ 1950’s
I believe this piece to be from the ’50s. The label on the back is from Henry Antovillle Art Galleries which was a gallery in the 1950’s in New York. Other than that, I have not been able to find out anything more about the piece.
