Magnificent French Impressionist Painting Montmartre Alphonse Quizet (1885 ‘55)
From very fine estate: magnificent Parisian impressionistic painting – Montmartre – by Alphonse Quizet (1885 ‘55). An equally stunning gilt composition frame. Alphonse Quizet (1885–1955), a French Post-Impressionist and modernist painter. He was a key member of the Montmartre school and a lifelong friend of the famous painter Maurice Utrillo. Quizet is best known for his nostalgic, atmospheric scenes of Paris, particularly the outskirts and the bohemian streets of Montmartre.
