Signed French School Landscape Oil Painting, Canvas, 75 Cm

Large Painting, Allée Cavalière circa 1880. Large oil on canvas representing a bridle path, 19th century. This composition represents a long path lined with trees forming a plant canopy above the path. The central perspective leads the eye towards a luminous opening at the back of the scene, creating an impression of depth and serenity. The palette is dominated by deep greens and warm browns, enlivened by touches of light filtering through the foliage. The free treatment of pictorial material and the search for atmospheric effects evoke landscape painting from the end of the 19th century, sensitive to variations in light and natural atmospheres.
