Grand Gorge of the Colorado and Little Colorado Rivers by Philipp Merillat
This monumental plein air landscape oil painting was painted on location at the Desert View overlook on the South Rim of Grand Canyon in Arizona. The size is the canvas before framing of 162″ x 52″. The painting was transported on the side of my motor home, first from the canyon where it was painted to New Mexico, where it was framed, then to Colorado where it was on display for several years in Pagosa Springs. It is now in my studio in Silver City, New Mexico. At the time of execution the painting was my largest; it is now my second largest painting, both of the Grand Canyon and both painted on location. If you would like to see the painting in person, please call and make a visit to Silver City, there are flights from Albuquerque. I am working on a project with framing some other paintings and this one could be framed in a way similar to the others. The framing is a unique idea you’ve probably never seen anywhere before, so if you make a visit to the studio, I can show you my example for that with one of the completed framing projects. The painting you will want to see in person to appreciate it.

George Bickerstaff MCM Seascape Oil Painting on Canvas 1893-1954 30″x24″ Plein
This is a George Bickerstaff MCM Seascape Oil Painting on Canvas (1893-1954) 30″x24″ sort of a Plein Air look. it is unframed but had a frame at one time as you can see the clean Line all around the painting. either faded along the edge or dirty..it has some minor wrinkling but should be restretched and framed would really help. the backside of the canvas has Allott of staining but I do not see any coming through to front and it does not smell either. so not perfect but as you can see has allot of potential. Found in a storage locker so know little else of it.I started this Site because I love art and have been collecting it for years. I am by no means an expert but just love it. All types too..I buy my art from Storage Auctions, Estate Sales Ect. I try to be as clear as I can on describing it and my pictures are part of the description. Most of my Art is Non Returnable mainly because of size and sometimes rarity so please bid accordingly.

Vintage Oil On Board Painting Of Big Sur Coastline By Van
Wonderful sense of natural turbulence exemplified bu the brush stroke texture. Crashing waves of Big Sur’s coastline flowing back to sea creates a frothy peacefulness. As if the ocean exhales.
