Offered: A Signed (Unknown) Dated 1911 Oil Painting what appears to be a mountain man with fur hat and coat holding a rifle. It is 31 1/2 ” long by 23 1/2 wide and the wooden frame is 37 1/2 x 28 1/2 and weighs approximately 11 pounds.The signature of artist is not decipherable and the only other clue is handwritten on the back which is also not decipherable and possibly in a language other than English.

Biography from Sworders: Thanh Chuong was born in 1949 in Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam. He was a child prodigy and won several art prizes from a young age. After attending the Vietnam Institute of Fine Art, he taught art to his fellow soldiers while serving as a bomb diffuser in the Vietnam army.
