Two Sided Antique French Charcoal Sketch

I love collecting charcoal and pencil sketches and this antique signed piece from Paris is truly special. As an added bonus, there is a second sketch of a woman on the reverse side of the paper. C1890 French School Watercolor. Rue De Jeanne d’Arc. Joan Of Arc. Rochefoucald

For sale is a very beautiful late 19th century early 20th century French impressionist watercolor painting of the famed Joan of Arc statue on Rue Jeanne d'Arc in the Place des Pyramides in Paris France. The sculpture was done by the French sculptor Emmanuel Frémiet. (1824 – 1910) During the golden age of French sculpture in 1874. This watercolor is signed in the lower left corner somewhat illegibly, but we seem to be able to decipher the name Rochefoucald Rochefoucalt)? We feel fairly confident on the last name but we cannot determine the first name. Possibly the letters “G de”. The last name certainly being a French surname. We have seen several French artists with the same last name, but we cannot attribute this to any particular artist as we are unsure. Please see the close-up, detailed pictures of the signature for your own consideration. Overall, the watercolor is just a wonderful. It depicts local Parisians going about their day as they stroll through the Place des Pyramides plaza while the gold gilt statue of Joan Of Arc lols large above them. Just a wonderful impressionist watercolor. Condition: Some age appropriate toning and light spotting in areas. Edge toning. The image of the watercolor haven't been transposed to what is most likely the original paper backer board beneath the painting as you can tell in one of our detailed pictures. Matted but not framed. Antique C.1930’s European French School Romantic Street Scene Signed WC Painting

This French school painting is a watercolor on paper depicting a couple walking side by side along the sidewalk, the figure in black appears to have it’s arm around the lower back of the person dressed in red. There is a row of houses along the left with a high wall and park to the right. This impressionist painting is signed and dated lower right but it is illegible, maybe you know the artist. It is housed in a finished corner gilt wood frame with linen wrapped mat over off-white mat with protective glass front. It is quite a serene and very well done painting, I only wish I knew who the artist is. Measures; sight size 8″ x 11 1/2″, framed 17 1/2″ x 20″ .

This painting is a French street scene, it is watercolor on paper and depicts a street/ alley way with figures walking by centuries old buildings, a child stops to watch a street artist at his craft, with architecture of church in background. The painting is signed and dated lower right “Guignier 1953”. It is housed in a finished corner gilt wood frame with linen wrapped mat over off-white mat with protective glass front.
