Victoria Harbour Hong Kong Impressionist Art Painting Contemporary P.K. Chan 24″

Victoria Harbor Hong Kong Impressionist Art Painting on Canvas Contemporary P.K. Chan 24″ Condition:This is a gorgeous painting of Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong. It is painted on an unstretched canvas and is signed by P.K. Chan. It is a nighttime cityscape of the harbor with junk boats in the foreground and the city across the canvas. It is in vibrant primary colors of blue, red, and yellow. It has a lot of texture and is done in an impressionist manner. It is a contemporary piece of artwork that captures this Chinese country in its heyday. I believe it is an oil painting but it may be an acrylic painting. The art measures 20.5″ tall x 24.5″ wide. The canvas measures 23″ tall x 26.5″ wide. It weighs 6 oz. It is in good condition. It has been rolled with a piece of plastic over the painting. The plastic seems to have left some impressions in the paint but it adds to the texture in some ways. There may be minor damage but nothing overt that I can see. It will be mailed rolled in a tube. Please see the photos for specifics on the condition of this beautiful Asian artwork. Antique Oil Painting On Canvas Genre Scene Portrait Of A Woman

The Background: The background is abstract and minimalist, treated in dark, textured tones (mixture of deep blues, gray-green on the left and earthy/brown hues on the right). This dark and neutral background isolates the model to focus all attention on the anatomy and the work of light on the skin. Treatment of the body: The body is not painted uniformly. We can see touches of green-gray in the shadows, yellows and ochres for the light areas, and outlines marked by fine darker lines (notably along the leg and arm). This use of cold colors (green) in the flesh is typical of modern academic teaching for sculpting volumes in shade. Surface condition: There is natural aging of the pictorial layer. The paint appears matte in places and has texture irregularities (visible above right). The ca.

Painting Antique Oil on Canvas Scene Of Style Portrait Woman Year Crazy 1920

Subject: This is an “academic female nude”, representing a woman seated facing on a bench, a chair or a wooden bench with bars. It is installed on a white drape which falls to the ground. She tackles a short haircut from the Roaring Twenties 1920-1930. Background: The background is treated in a very sober and textured way, in dark and cold tones (gray-blue, metallic gray-green). On the left, an ocher/olive green colored fabric or sheer curtain appears to hang from the back of the seat, providing a subtle touch of color. Artistic movement: The style evokes the painting of the **first half of the 20th century** (possibly the modernist school, the realism of the 1920s or the influence of painters like André Derain or the School of Paris). The shapes are full, generous and sculptural. Color p.

Antique Oil on Canvas Mounted School French Of Xixth Entourage Barbizon

The pioneers who explored these places were Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot (1822), Théodore Caruelle d’Aligny, Camille Flers, Paul Huet, Alexandre Desgoffe who went to paint in Barbizon before 1830, Narcisse Diaz de la Peña (1836), Lazare Bruandet, then Charles-François Daubigny (1843), Jean-François millet (1849) and Théodore Rousseau. Gustave Courbet seems to have stayed there since 1841 but more certainly in 1849, and then until 1861. At the beginning of the 1850s Antoine-Louis Barye frequented Barbizon and ended up settling there, he rubbed shoulders with painters and created numerous oils and watercolors. Félix Ziem stayed in Barbizon from 1853 and his presence at the Ganne Inn is attested from October 13 to November 3 of that year. He was there again in 1860 and had a caravan made whic.
