PRAJNAPARAMITA-PERFECT WISDOM ORIGINAL TIBETAN THANGKA PAINTING WITH SILK BORDER

GANESH GANPATI VINAYAKA ORIGINAL ACRYLIC PAINTING IN HANDMADE NEPALI LOKTA PAPER This is an original hand-painted Tibetan Thangka Painting of Prajnaparamita, an important concept in Mahayana Buddhism. It is bordered with high-quality silk and depicts wisdom that leads to realizing emptiness (shunyata) and the true nature of reality. The teachings of Prajnaparamita emphasize the transcendence of dualistic thinking and the ultimate emptiness of all phenomena. These teachings help practitioners move beyond conventional concepts and perceptions and attain direct insight into the nature of existence. The Prajnaparamita scriptures are a collection of sutras, or discourses, that expound on reality’s nature and the path to enlightenment. The most well-known are the Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, and the Perfection of Wisdom sutras. These texts stress the concept of emptiness and teach that all phenomena lack inherent existence or substantiality. They also teach that our ordinary perceptions and conceptualizations are based on mistaken notions of separateness. One can attain liberation from suffering by realizing the emptiness of all things. Prajnaparamita is considered a fundamental aspect of the Mahayana Buddhist path, alongside compassion (bodhisattva ideal). The wisdom of Prajnaparamita is seen as an essential complement to compassion, as the two qualities are said to be inseparable on the path to enlightenment. Prajnaparamita’s teachings have profoundly impacted Mahayana Buddhism, including Tibetan Buddhism and Zen. Practitioners continue to study, contemplate, and meditate on these teachings to deepen their understanding of reality and cultivate wisdom.
