Edmond Johnson was a Monhegan Maine water colorist. He died in 2011 at the age of 84 He owned a picturesque home and studio on Monhegan Island where he spent summers. His work has been exhibited in the Gallery at Mystic Seaport and the Mariners Museum of Virginia. This particular piece is of the rocky coast and a lobster boat the LAUREN T. The frame measures 21×17. The painting really depicts life on the Maine coast. Excellent condition
