This auction is for an antique painting of a 19th century man with a hat, Richard Wagner. The piece is mid 20th century by the Haffke Company of Altötting Germany. It is painted on and framed in ivory/bone.The company specializes in producing miniature copies of famous full sized portraits, sometimes taking license with color or producing mirror images. Check wiki for info on his life. Color is nice and vivid, on a panel. This does appear to have a makers mark / signature on the bottom. There is also printing/paper on back. Along with writing in pencil that is illegible to me & a stamp of ‘ER Binder Maximillansplatz, Germany’ Lots of detail!
