It could be even earlier. It is signed in the lower right corner “Franq.”. Condition: Excellent Year: c.1850s. His wife is trying to hold him back. Or, maybe, he just wants to look down her cleavage – I think the picture is open to different explanations.

Please note the small chip on the back rim. You cannot see it from the front. What is nice is the portrait has a painted frame. With pretty gold around it. Very pretty.
