Contemporary records—mostly letters to his brother Theo—indicate thatIrises was painted in the first month of van Gogh’s yearlong stay at the sanitorium in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in 1889.

For sale is an original oil pastel painting by K. Overbeck of a Vincent van Gogh painting. The artwork itself is on an 11×14″ canvas panel. The frame has no glass. It is a used frame, comes with some minor flaws, but looks wonderful. Will be mailed by USPS ‘Priority Mail for speed!
