Camille COROT painted many of his works on canvases from the Color Merchant Deforge Carpentier in Paris The painting that we are offering for sale is an authentic painting from the mid-19th century which is very comparable to the works of Camille Corot who repeatedly painted the rocks in the Fontainebleau forest. The painting does not appear to be signed but Camille Corot did not sign all of his works. Additional research would make it possible to attribute this work to Corot.
