Abstract Red Roses original oil painting on canvas signed handpainted 24″ x 20″
The flowers are painted in deep vibrant scarlet hues radiating outwards, which gives the composition a sense of motion. It’s a kind of interpretation of roses that maintains their symbolic beauty while allowing abstraction to convey the artist’s mood and flowers’ mystery.

I work in plein aire. It was an early chilled morning in June. Linda and I were camping in Benzie State Park, MI (now US National). I’ve been to this site since childhood and have always enjoyed viewing the fishing boats.
