The painting depicts the locomotive, billowing smoke out of its stack, followed by a coal car, a green boxcar, and then three green passenger cars – all in a snowy landscape with a line of green vegetation in the distance.

This is for a signed original Bill Paxton Maine artist original framed painting of “North Woods of Maine Circa 1926”. Bill Paxton was a well respected Maine artist who passed away in 2007. Frame measures 11 1/2 inches length by 9 1/2 inches height. Painting itself measures 9 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches. In good vintage condition. Frame has a few scattered edge/corner bumps, scratches especially on one upper corner along with backside, backing having two small hole/tears where the table stand/flap would’ve been mounted/attached. Well known American prolific artist for painting trains and landscapes. Born in Lewiston Maine in 1930-2007. A rare painting for a Bill Paxton collector. The painting is showing a coal field in the eastern Bengali India. The board is approximately 9*hightX12″wide with a nice 15″ wide by 12.5″ high wood frame.
