ArtStory Fine Art Beautiful landscape painting from the mid-19th century attributable to Camille COROT depicting a landscape from the Barbizon school with the Rocks of Fontainebleau in the foreground and a grove of trees overlooking the gray rocks. The painting was painted on canvas relined on canvas from the Color Merchant Deforge Carpentier in PARIS between 1856 and 1863. Camille COROT painted many of his works on canvases from the Color Merchant Deforge Carpentier in Paris The painting that we are offering for sale is an authentic painting from the mid-19th century which is very comparable to the works of Camille Corot who repeatedly painted the rocks in the Fontainebleau forest. The painting does not appear to be signed but Camille Corot did not sign all of his works. Additional research would make it possible to attribute this work to Corot.
