Reverse Bubble Glass Painting Of Woman And Child. Circa 1950-1960s From Japan
Such a nice find of a reverse bubble glass painting from the mid 20th century. These became popular in western U.S homes after WW2. Such a delicate technique and subject matter. The woman is wearing traditional Japanese Geta shoes, and notice her graceful hand – as if pointing the way of their travel on the cobblestone bridge over the river with a lotus flower in the foreground. Painting measures: 11” tall 8 3/4” wide A rare find in this excellent condition. Perfect for a collector of asian arts from that period.
