Each work being offered is a visual feast of colour, composition and emotion. Bowles won a scholarship to the Royal College of Art at a young age. His drive to convey a new visual language caught the attention of L S Lowry and he helped him to get his first major exhibition in 1965 and they became lifelong friends. Throughout his career he developed other friendships with other major British 20th century artists. This lovely example of his work depicts a moorland landscape. It is executed in watercolour on paper and measures 14×10 inches and comes unframed. It is unsigned but carries the artists studio stamp and will reframe very effectively.
