c 1900 French Impressionist oil painting on board laid to board of a French landscape with castle ramparts and distant town, thought to be Provence. Beautifully and fluently painted and well composed. Painting is in good condition – some craquelure commensurate with age and age related marks. Measures 18 1/4″ x 15″ and 24 1/4″ x 21″ in its painted frame.
